Why Is This Important?

"Smoking during pregnancy is associated with multiple adverse birth outcomes, including low-birth-weight babies and pre-term deliveries. Women who smoke during pregnancy are more likely to have a baby who is premature, who has a low birth weight, or who dies because of SIDS." - North Carolina Institute of Medicine.
