Definition

High school alcohol use percentages are based on students' self-reported survey responses to the question: How many times in the past 30 days have you had at least one drink of alcohol? The values reported represent the percentage of students that indicated that they had one or more alcoholic beverages in the past 30 days.

How We Calculated the Rates

Numerator: Number of high school students who indicated that they had one or more alcoholic beverages in the past 30 days
