Data Notes

The life expectancy algorithm is modeled after Chiang (Chiang CL (1984) Life Table and Mortality Analysis, Malabar (FL), Robert E. Krieger Publishing Co.). More detailed life expectancy estimates for other age groups and by race can be found on the State Center for Health Statistics website:  The HNC 2020 target, which is the target to be reached by 2020, is repeated in the data table for graphing purposes.
